Login to Admin
Now that you have a website with WordPress installed, let’s get into how to use WordPress. You can log in to your WordPress dashboard by going to www.yourdomainname.com/wp-admin.
After logging in, your dashboard will appear like this (with fewer plugins, as it’s a fresh install):
Posts: This is where you’ll create blog posts.
Media: Here, you can view all media on your site, like images and videos. I usually upload media directly to posts and pages, so I don’t visit this section often.
Pages: This is where you’ll create static pages like your homepage, about page, and contact page.
Comments: Manage and moderate any blog comments here.
Appearance: Customize the look of your website, including the theme, fonts, colors, and more.
Plugins: Plugins are add-ons that enhance your website’s functionality, like custom contact forms or pop-ups. I’ll explain these in more detail later.
Users: Add users to your website, such as writers, editors, and administrators.
Settings: This section houses all your general website settings.
